Weather in the Sunol Valley has been hot lately, and the fire danger is high. The Alameda Siphon #4 Project team is on high alert to avoid activities that might cause sparks in the dry grass areas.
Demolition continues on the hillside east of Calaveras Road in anticipation of the Coast Range Tunnel Shutdown this winter.

Mobilization Continues
Construction crews installed trailers and are are putting up perimeter fencing this week. Preparations have begun for some demolition of existing facilities on the hillside on east side of Calaveras Road.
